Queens Gambit

This photo shows balance through the equal weight of the chess pieces. This photo also uses repetition which adds a sense of calm. Another thing this photo has is colour and shape which is achieved through the unique outline of the pieces and squares on the board.

Vanilla and Chocolate

In this photo you can see texture through the hair strands as well as the different colours blended together. This photo also shows lines through the hair and uses space in the background to draw interest to the main subject. having the braid in the middle adds unity to the photo making everything appear complete.

Stuck With Me

Some elements of art and principles of design used in this picture would be texture, space, value, lines and emphasis. Texture is used in the background, using the concrete, as well as on the shoes and clothes. Lines are shown through the laces. Having space in this photo emphasizes the surrounding value, that we can see clearly through the lighter and darker spots surrounding our main objects.

An Eye for An Eye

This picture uses colour and lines to highlight the key differences of the two subjects. One has blond hair while the other has brown. Another difference we can see is in the eyes as one is blue and the others green. This photo also uses texture which you can see through their faces and hair. The variety of similar but unique differences adds unity to the photo making it more interesting to look at.
