  1. I chose to do David Hockney's photography style

  2. David Hockney is an English photographer, painter, draughtsman, printmaker, and stage designer. He is one of the most influential British artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. He is not only know for his picture collages, but also for his vibrant coloured paintings.

  3. I was drawn to David Hockney's work because it was something I've never seen before or thought of doing. I also thought it was very creative to take a bunch of individual photos and create a masterpiece using them.

  4. He creates photo collages by taking dozens or even hundreds of small, overlapping images of the same subject from different angles, viewpoints, and moments in time.

  5. Some elements of art and principles of design David Hockney uses in his photography are: lines, to prominently outline his photos, vibrant colours, shapes, sometimes to create the photo and make it more dramatic, he also likes to use space in his photos, as well as unity. He also uses movement to capture the change in time, as well as emphasis to capture everyday domestic scenes.

  6. I believe I did the style justice. I managed to capture movement in my photos, and the collages were well put together. Keeping David Hockney's unique style in mind, I tried to make the outlines as visible as possible so you can see the different photos combined to make one. I also tried to use unity and light to make my photo's appear more deep and meaningful.
