Falling Leaves

This photo shows lines and texture throughout the leaves and background. Another element of art this photo has is shape which is reflected through the natural outlines of the leaves. This photo also has repetition and balance which add contrast to this photo, making it seem complete.

Roses Are Lovely in Black and White

In this photo I used space and simplicity to draw attention to my main object, the rose. This photo also has a sense of balance and unity adding a feeling of peace to this unique photo. Balance is used by placing the rose in the middle making the photo appear equal. Emphasis, is shown through the light that is shown through the shadow in the background.

Walking Along A Short Bridge

In this photo we can see the texture all around. Through the leaves in the background to the little bits of pine on the wood of the bridge. We can also see the different types of lines. It has horizontal, vertical, and leading lines making this photo very interesting. Some principles of design I used would be pattern and repetition which is shown on the bridge and its equal sides, adding balance.

It Feels Like Somebody's Watching Me

This photo is unique because its framed. Another thing that makes this photo interesting is the repetition of lines and books adding interest to the subject. I have also placed my subject in the middle to add balance and unity.

The Next Step

In this photo I used texture through the stairs and surrounding area of nature and wood. The wood and stone stairs were also used as lines leading you to my subject. You can also see signs of movement as she is walking up the stairs and her foot is still kind of levitated. The fact that nothing is centered in the middle also adds interest and makes the photo appear complete adding unity. You can also see emphasis in this photo as there is light shining through the trees to the dark woodsy scene.
